ive marched in two corps and both years Bostons been rude. First corps they walked through our visual warmup as we were doing across the floors. Second corps their semi drove through our visual block and then blared music as they unloaded while we were trying to hear claves....
im sorry you experienced that. pretty anyone whos marched will tell you a story of another corps being rude in some form or another.
Does any body else get irritated when people post “help me march corps X” when they haven’t been contracted or gotten a callback or even auditioned. They’re basically saying “I don’t even know if this actually gonna happen but give me your money pls”.
Just finished Orange is the New Black on Netflix. I watched it all in just two days. I couldn’t get myself to stop watching after the first episode. It was a mix of surreal prison reality, an enticing ever unfolding plot, and an unorthodox but outstanding cast. Totally recommend it. Freakin’ brilliant.
Why does everyone think our show is about the JFK assassination? Or 9/11? Or the Boston Bombing?
The show wasn’t meant to be specific. It is meant to be about rising from any form of adversity. The idea is about becoming who you are born to be and being free. For us, that was a Boston Crusader. But ripping off that uniform to reveal the reds meant something different to everyone on that field.
For me? It was beating my depression and anxiety and refusing to let in control me. I WILL RISE.
